I Resolve To…

Why is it we feel the need to make New Year’s resolutions at the end of each year? Most of the time the resolutions we make are forgotten within a short time, anyway.

This new year I resolve to not make any resolutions. Instead I’m going to live my life each day as it comes, allowing myself to experience all its glory.

I have often found myself thinking things like, “as soon as I have more free time, I’ll start going to the gym regularly” We all have 24 hours in a day, so I’m not going to get any ‘more’ time at some point. And while my schedule hasn’t changed, I now go to the gym almost daily. And I feel so much better for it.

Don’t wait for a certain condition to happen before you can do something you want or need to doyin-yang-carp. Don’t wait until the end of the year to create new goals. Don’t let life slip away because you think the opportunity isn’t here right now.

The heart knows better than the calendar, or outside influences, when it’s the right time for you to do that which you desire.

Don’t wait. Experience life today, in all its fullest and most daring moments.

2015 is your year – make it a great one. I plan to – starting today!
